Saltadere
is
twinned
with St.
Thomas
Aquinas
and with
Holy
Comforter
parishes
in
Charlottesville,
Virginia.
Representatives
of the
two
parishes
visited Saltadere
in July
2005 and
again in
January
2006; at
least
one trip
is
planned
for July
2006.
Saltadere needs a new school building. St. Thomas Aquinas and Holy Comforter parishes
are
raising
the
funds
for the
construction.
Below is

architectural
plans.
The cost
of a
replacement
8-classroom
school
building
is
expected
to
exceed
$100,000
after
adjustment
for the
high
rate of
inflation
(about
15
percent
per
year) in
Haiti.
